Yup, another hoops simulation game has made its way to Facebook. The latest, courtesy of Playdom and NBA Digital, is called NBA Dynasty. And, yes, like most of the other sports games on Facebook, you will play coach and manager to your dream team made up of real-life players from 1946 to the present day.
NBA Dynasty players will be able to compete in games against NBA championship teams and go head-to-head against Facebook friends for the all-time best record.
"With NBA Dynasty, we wanted to create a realistic coaching and managing experience while giving players the opportunity to build their ultimate fantasy team," Playdom's Co-Chief Operating Officer John Donham says. "Players will finally find out if their childhood heroes can beat those of their friends."
This basketball game includes highlight clips from the 2010-11 season, which will play "when an NBA player performs well" and as coach, you will be able to direct the action in the game by setting your starting line-up, subbing players, calling time-outs in real time. You can also boost your team's status by building a large fan base, NBA arena and coaching reputation.
One thing you should know up front -- this is purely a management-style game, so anyone with a hankering to play a virtual game of b-ball might be more inclined to leave this one sitting on the sidelines.
